Tomato and Green Bean Side

    Perfect for a quick side dish this recipe is the combination of green beans and tomatoes seasoned with Italian seasoning and garnished with sliced almonds.

    Serves: 4 

    • 400g green beans
    • oil for frying
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
    • Italian herb seasoning, to taste
    • 60g flaked almonds

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Wash and top and tail the beans if you prefer. Heat the oil in a large saucepan or frypan then add the garlic and beans and cook over a medium heat for about 5 minutes.
    2. Add the tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Cook, uncovered, until the beans are done to your liking about 10 minutes. Stir in the almonds just before serving.
