Tomato and Green Bean Side

Perfect for a quick side dish this recipe is the combination of green beans and tomatoes seasoned with Italian seasoning and garnished with sliced almonds.
400g green beans
oil for frying
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
Italian herb seasoning, to taste
60g flaked almonds
- Wash and top and tail the beans if you prefer. Heat the oil in a large saucepan or frypan then add the garlic and beans and cook over a medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Cook, uncovered, until the beans are done to your liking about 10 minutes. Stir in the almonds just before serving.
Great healthy exciting way of serving beans! Went very well served on chicken breast
