    Simple, stylish snack food is a boon for the busy cook.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 18 

    • FOR THE PASTRY
    • 400 g ready-made frozen pizza dough, thawed at room temperature
    • 1 egg yolk
    • FOR THE TOPPING
    • Caraway seeds
    • Chopped almonds
    • Poppyseeds
    • Sunflower seeds

    Directions

    1. Use large baking trays and line with baking paper. Preheat oven to 200°C.
    2. Roll out pizza dough on lightly floured work surface to 5 mm thick. Whisk egg yolk with 2 tbsp water; brush over dough. Cut dough into 6 cm squares to make 36 in total.
    3. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over the squares. Place on baking trays and cook, one tray at a time, for 10–15 minutes or until pastry is golden. Remove from the trays, cool briefly and serve warm.

    Try this, too…

    For Turkish Feta Pastries, roll out 400 g pizza dough into a thin sheet. Sprinkle crumbled feta over one half of the dough. Fold over the other side; press to seal. Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 20–25 minutes. Remove from oven, cut into pieces and serve.
