    Vinegars infused with spices, fruit, herbs or horseradish are easy to prepare at home and make delightful gifts. In this recipe, red wine vinegar is infused with fresh raspberries.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 20 

    • 2 punnets fresh raspberries or blackberries, or 500 g frozen
    • 2½ cups red wine vinegar

    Directions

    1. Combine the berries and vinegar in a bowl or plastic container. Cover the container and leave the mixture to stand for five to seven days.
    2. Strain the vinegar into clean, dry bottles. Add a few whole berries, if desired, and seal well.
