    Serve this simple chocolate sauce warm over ice-cream, crepes or pancakes or serve with any steamed pudding or berry dessert.

    Serves: 6 

    • 100g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
    • 15g unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons golden syrup or honey

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. Put the chocolate in a small saucepan with the butter, syrup or honey and 1 1/2 tablespoons of water. Warm gently over a low heat until the chocolate has melted.
    2. Remove the pan from the heat and serve warm.

    Say if you made the sauce at midday or sometime like that and didn't want to use it till bout 7 would you be able to heat it up in the microwave for a couple of minutes or so? - 23 Jan 2009
