Baked Bananas with Chocolate

    My friend served this at a diner party and it went down extremely well.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 4 Large bananas
    • 20 grams white chocolate
    • 20 grams milk chocolate
    • 80 ml maple syrup (or golden syrup)
    • 80 grams of good quality ice cream - honeycomb or hokey pokey

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Preheat oven 160 degrees. Slice the bananas down the middle lengthways but don't cut right through.
    2. Put bananas in an oven dish, cut side up, and bake until slightly turning brown (10-12 minutes)
    3. Remove from oven and divide the chocolate evenly down the middle of the bananas. Place back in oven until the chocolate has melted.
    4. Place each banana on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup and a scoop of ice-cream.
