Cheesy Salmon Pasta

    30 minutes

Smoked salmon is a strong flavour and needs little else to make a great pasta sauce. The plates always come back clean!

    3 people made this

    Serves: 2

    • 160g penne pasta
    • 1 medium size carrot, sliced
    • 1 tablespoon milk
    • 20g grated cheddar
    • 1 dessert spoon ground paprika
    • 50g smoked salmon

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min

    1. Cook pasta in boiling water and steam the carrots until soft.
    2. Drain pasta and place back in pot along with the milk and cheese and place on a very low heat, just so pasta can absorb some of the milk and allow cheese to melt, 2 minutes.
    3. Add the carrots, paprika and smoked salmon and stir until the salmon has gone dark pink. Add more milk if necessary.

This was really easy to make but needed a lot more milk than recipe said. Family liked it but I felt it was missing something.  -  23 Feb 2013  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)

Used different ingredients. Instead of using carrots and salmon i used peas and when it was ready to serve, I added some extra cheese on the top.  -  18 Apr 2011  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
