Easiest Pound Cake

    Only four ingredients and super easy to make. You'll be surprised how tasty this is. A great recipe for the kids to make.

    Serves: 6 

    • 110g margarine or butter
    • 110g sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 110g self raising flour

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and line a cake tin with baking paper.
    2. Cream together the margarine/butter and sugar.
    3. Add the eggs and flour.
    4. Pour into cake tin and bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven.
    5. Leave cake to cool.

    very nice recipie simple... i added a touch of vanilla. i would recomend using a small pan or making double quantity only makes very thin cake but good  -  15 Jul 2010


    I'd also recommend double quantity. I replaced the eggs with plain Greek yogurt (mostly because I was out of eggs but had yogurt) and it made a lovely moist cake.  -  01 Jul 2016
