Sugary Shortbread Biscuits

This simple three ingredient recipe is like a cross between shortbread and sugar biscuits. It's very easy to make and tastes great, perfect for kids.
4 cups (500g) plain flour
450g white sugar
450g butter at room temperature, cubed
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and sift the flour into a large bowl.
- Add in sugar and stir a little to mix up. Add butter little at a time, mixing well each time.
- At this point you can either spread the dough over baking trays, or cut it into shapes. Note that it will spread quite a lot.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden coloured - do not overcook until brown. If baking in one piece, slice into squares while still warm.
