Classic Banoffee Tart

I like to use Marie or Shredded Wheatmeal biscuits in this easy dessert but just about any sweet plain biscuit works well.

this is so easy to make and very tasteful.this is my new favorite desert.i am already passing this recipe around.i used chocolate ripple biscuits.

This worked out fine for me-it's basically a glamourous version of a caramel tart but it looks like a lot more effort went into it than did! especially because I used a premade pie shell. The bananas give it a little fruit lift too.

It would be a great recipe if they had not got the biscuit base wrong. One needs to use 125g of butter not 80g of butter. The base will not set with only 80g and you will land up with loose crumbs instead of a firm base.
