Paneer Wrap

    45 minutes

This is a great Indian wrap- kind of like a small burrito - but using paneer (fresh milk cheese) and rotis.

    3 people made this

    Serves: 4

    • 250g paneer, cut into cubes
    • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
    • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
    • 1 teaspoon chilli paste
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
    • 2 medium onions, sliced thinly
    • 4-5 rotis or flatbreads
    • 4-6 tablespoons green chutney
    • 2 green chillies, chopped finely
    • fresh coriander leaves

    Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:5min  ›  Ready in:45min

    1. Marinate the paneer cubes with ginger, garlic and the green chilli pastes and salt for 30 minutes.
    2. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Saute paneer cubes in it until browned. Add cumin powder and the masala and check to see if the seasoning is to your taste. Mix in the onion.
    3. To make the rolls, put 1 teaspoon of oil in a clean frypan and lightly heat the rotis. Smear each roti with 1 tablespoon of green chutney.
    4. Place 6 to 8 pieces of cooked paneer, some chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves on each roti. Sprinkle salt if desired. Roll the roti tightly over the filling. Serve.
