    A slow cooker is the perfect cooking tool for cheaper cuts of beef that benefit from long slow braising. Start this stew in the morning and it will be ready for dinner!

    Serves: 4 

    • 900g beef roast
    • 2 1/2 cups button mushrooms, roughly chopped
    • 1/2 red onion, roughly chopped
    • 1/2 yellow onion, roughly chopped
    • 3 medium tomatoes, roughly chopped
    • 3 whole cloves of garlic, lightly crushed
    • 6 basil leaves
    • 1 beef stock cube
    • 1 bottle of beer (I used Stella Artois)

    1. Place all ingredients into slow cooker, and cook on low for 10 hours.
