Egg-Free Strawberry Ice Cream

    There's nothing like home made strawberry ice cream in the hot summer months. This recipe is full and heavy and very delectable.

    Serves: 15 

    • 1 punnet strawberries
    • 1 (395g) can condensed milk
    • 1 litre milk
    • 500ml thickened cream
    • 100g sugar
    • 200ml water

    1. Stem the strawberries and slice roughly.
    2. Heat the water and sugar in a pan until sugar is dissolved. Boil for 2 minutes.
    3. Blend syrup and strawberries until smooth. Mix with condensed milk, milk and cream, and stir well.
    4. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to instructions.
