Frypan Oat Cakes

    These are a really fluffy pancake like breakfast/dessert/snack that have oats in them. I like to eat them with honey but any normal pancake topping works well.

    Serves: 6 

    • 3/4 cup (90g) flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons white sugar
    • 2/3 cup (90g) oats
    • 45g butter, melted
    • 1 1/4 cups (310ml) milk
    • 1 egg, whisked
    • 1 tablespoon cream

    1. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl. Add oats.
    2. Make a well in the centre then add melted butter, milk, egg and cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
    3. Heat an oiled frying pan until hot then add a scoop of the batter into it. Fry until golden brown.
