Directions Preparation:10min › Ready in:10min
Place the banana, grapes, yoghurt, apple and spinach into a blender or food processor. Cover and blend until smooth, stopping frequently to push down anything stuck to the sides. Pour into glasses and serve.
If you find your smoothie is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk, juice or soy milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.

WOW, WOW, WOW!! Who would have thought raw spinach could make a smoothie taste so good! Even if you DON'T like spinach you should try this! I followed the recipe except for the grapes. Since I didn't have the grapes I put in the entire PEELED apple in chunks. I didn't have vanilla flavored yoghurt (too much sugar in that product) so I used plain yoghurt and after tasting the recipe added 1 tablespoon ground linseed and 1 teaspoon organic agave (low glycemic sweetener that looks like honey). To make the smoothie colder I added some crushed ice (this does make it thinner). The smoothie will definitely become a BIG hit on this site!! I will make this weekly!! I will use another reviewers suggestion to get the kids to try it by having a "green" food colouring bottle on the counter!! - 29 Sep 2008

I kept the recipe the same and just added my Sunwarrior Protein Powder - a vegan/gluten free sprouted brown rice protein power - which was great 'cause I now get my greens and my protein all in one easy drink! Yum!!! - 25 Nov 2009
