    This simple parfait is also an anytime snack. The fruit, yoghurt and muesli make it a complete but quick breakfast guaranteed to kick start your day. You can use fruit other than the berries and choose your flavour of yoghurt.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 125g (½ punnet) sliced strawberries
    • 70g (½ punnet) blueberries
    • 1,200g yoghurt of your choice
    • 1 tablespoon wheat germ
    • 1/2 banana, sliced
    • 30g (1/3 cup) muesli

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. Layer the strawberries, blueberries, yoghurt, wheat germ, the sliced banana, and the muesli in a large bowl. Continue to build the parfait, mixture repeating the layers until all of the ingredients are used completely.

    I changed blackberries for the blueberries because that's what I had on hand. I left everything else the same. I was looking for something quick for lunch that would supply the energy I needed before getting going with the kids again. This was perfect on a hot day!     This not only tastes good, but is good for you. I recently got into using wheat germ and it's great with fruit and yogurt. I used bluberries, strawberries and replaced the banana with raspberries. I used fat free greek vanilla yogurt and topped the whole thing off with a little honey.     Delicious! First I added some agave in 1 cup of fat free plain yogurt, which I prefer instead of vanilla flavored yogurt, then I layered the yogurt, granola, wheat germ and fruits (I omitted the banana). Very good and not too sweet.  -  29 Mar 2009  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
