This beautiful cake is very moist and very chocolately and is great decorated with fruit as well as with chocolate icing!

I doubled the cake mixture and cooked it double time 30min to the end of cooking time I would cover it lightly with brown paper to stop it from crusting to much, I also only used 1tbs of vanilla essence instead of the 2 as 2 left an after taste. Great receipe

I made this recipe for my son's class. And it was wonderful. He has severe food allergies and this recipe is both egg and peanut free. I added chocolate chips to the batter. I made cupcakes instead of the cake and I baked them for 22 minutes @ 180 degrees.

I cut the recipe in half. I also added 4 TBS choc chips, and a teaspoon of baking powder...came out very good..
