Best ever cake and I have made it 3 times however last time I somehow forgot the last addition of flour so I put only 2 1/2 cups of flour..also I used just S/R flour and did not use baking powder or bi-carb, I was worried how it was going to turn out but it was better, beautiful texture very much like mud cake, my boys actually preferred it and gave it rave reviews. - 03 Jun 2009

I am a pastry chef, and this is the only chocolate cake that I will make from now on. I separated the eggs and whipped the whites separately with some of the sugar, then folded it all together to make is extra airy. This recipe could easily be flavoured with coffee, juice, or buttermilk in place of the water. FANTASTIC! - 18 Jul 2008
