Caramel sauce

    A sticky caramel sauce that's perfect for ice cream, sponge puddings or fruit.

    Serves: 4 

    • 120g light brown sugar
    • 120g butter
    • 100ml cream

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Stir the butter and sugar in a medium saucepan over a low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
    2. Stir in the cream and heat gently until bubbling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and serve warm.

    This a good all around caramel sauce. I added a dash of Kaulua to it. To the person who thought it was thin, it Is thin when it's warm, when its cold it is thick. I liked it well enough to make it again! Thanks Jesabelle!  -  03 May 2013
