Cook pasta according to directions on packet. Drain well. Stir through half the Parmesan.
Gently saute the bacon, onion and garlic in a oiled medium frying pan for 3 to 4 minutes or until the onion is soft. Add the cream while stirring bring to a gentle simmer, then take of the heat.
Whisk the egg into the warm bacon and cream mixture, the pour immediately over the still hot pasta and stir through well. If the cream is too hot the eggs will start to scramble.
Serve the creamy pasta onto the plates then sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
