Chocolate Liqueur Truffles

    These decadent truffles are perfect to give away as a gift whether it be for Christmas, Mother's Day or Valentines Day. They are sure to impress and be enjoyed by your loved ones!

    Makes: 24 truffles

    • 2 tablespoons thickened cream
    • 1/4 cup muscat
    • 200g good quality dark chocolate, chopped
    • 1 sheet gold leaf

    1. Combine the cream, muscat and chocolate in a small saucepan; stir over low heat until smooth. Transfer mixture to small bowl, cover; refrigerate for 3 hours.
    2. Working with a quarter of the chocolate mixture at a time (keeping the remainder chilled), roll rounded teaspoons into balls; place on a tray. Refrigerate truffles until firm.
    3. Using tweezers or a fine paint brush; decorate truffles with small pieces of gold leaf.
