Sleep Rice


    A wonderful rice recipie that has sleep benifits, I first made this recipe at school for a project. SERVES 1

    • 1/4 cup of rice
    • A pinch of salt
    • 7 tablespoons of water
    • 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric


    1. Bring water to a boil in a small pot.
    2. Pour in the rice and add the salt.
    3. Stir enough to separate the rice and any clumps.
    4. Don’t over-stir.
    5. Cover the pot and simmer.
    6. Turn down the heat to its lowest.
    7. Let rice simmer for about 18 minutes, then remove from heat.
    8. Add the turmeric and allow the rice to steam in the pot for another 5 minutes.
    9. Fluff rice with a fork.
