Rosemary and Feta Lamb Burgers

    Delicious and easy lamb burgers flavoured with rosemary, feta, garlic and onion. Mint also works well here instead of rosemary.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g lamb mince
    • 100g white or brown bread, crusts removed
    • 50ml milk
    • 1 onion, minced
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon freshly chopped rosemary
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 150g feta cheese, crumbled

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Soak bread in milk till soft, about 5 minutes.
    2. Combine soaked bread and milk with the lamb mince, onion, garlic, egg, rosemary and seasoning. Mix well, then add the feta cheese. Form into burgers.
    3. Heat a fry pan over medium high heat. Add the burgers and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once, till no longer pink in the centre.

    These were lovely had a pack of reduced mince was nice to have something a bit different from shepherds pie! Will make again will try it with the mint next time.  -  21 May 2014  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
