    25 minutes

Spicy sweet potato chips with chilli powder, garlic and cumin are a sweet and spicy snack! If it's the wrong time of the year for barbecuing - you can cook them under the grill.

    • 4 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
    • 1 lime, juiced
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

    1. Preheat an outdoor barbecue for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
    2. Whisk olive oil, garlic, lime juice, cumin, chilli powder, salt and black pepper together in a large bowl; add sweet potatoes and stir until thoroughly coated.
    3. Place coated sweet potatoes on the preheated barbecue grate; cook, flipping sweet potatoes every 5 minutes, until crisp around the edges and tender in the middle, 15 to 20 minutes.

For even spicier sweet potatoes, use 2 tablespoons chilli oil and 2 tablespoons olive oil.

I did this recipe in my Actifry and it tastes great with a lot less oil. Healthier that way.  -  17 Aug 2017  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

Maybe cook them a little less...Ibaked them. Maybe better on the BBQ. Good flavour but just okay.  -  18 Jul 2017  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

Some burned, some mushy, and some okay. Won't try again.  -  16 Jun 2017  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
