Herb Seasoned Butter

    If you want to give a bit of a punch to your dishes try this herb butter. I love it on my chicken before cooking, or on a steak or baked potato after cooking.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 stick of butter

    • 125g butter, softened
    • 2 stalks rosemary
    • 2 stalks thyme
    • 1 tablespoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon pepper

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Extra time:1hour chilling  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

    1. Remove the leaves from the rosemary and thyme. They can be diced or left whole depending how chunky you like the butter to be.
    2. Massage into the butter the rosemary, thyme, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Stop when the flavours are evenly distributed.
    3. Lay out a sheet of baking paper, then add the soften butter, roll the paper to create a butter sausage. Place in the fridge to become firm.
    4. To serve, slice and place on the steak, baked potato or similar.
