Halloween Blood Jelly Cocktail

    This is a delightful little Halloween dessert and not at all what it looks like, not actually a cocktail, but a jelly, and definitely no blood involved.

    Serves: 6 

    • 2 packets red jelly
    • 1/2 cup vodka, optional

    1. These instructions are based on a 2 cup sized jelly packed, adjust accordingly if you are using a larger size packet.
    2. Combine the jelly crystals from 1 packet and 1 cup of boiling water, stir until all the jelly is dissolved.
    3. Add the vodka if using and 1/2 a cup of cold water. If not using the vodka, add 1 cup of cold water. Combine well and let cool.
    4. Pour into serving glasses, cocktail glasses work well. Place in the fridge to set.
    5. Place the second packet of jelly crystals on a side plate. On a second side plate add some water. Dip the jelly glass rims into the water, then into the jelly crystals to create a red rim on the glass.

    Kids vs Adults

    If making both alcoholic and non alcoholic versions, make sure to use very different glasses to ensure there is no confusion and kids eating the wrong ones.
