Pigs in a Blanket Serpent

    Decided to add a bit of art to my pigs in a blanket to create a serpent, great for Halloween parties, and super easy to make!

    Makes: 18 pigs in a blanket

    • 6 hot dogs
    • 1 sheet puff pastry
    • 1 olive
    • 1 slice capsicum

    Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Grease a baking tray.
    2. Cut the hot dogs into thirds to get nice bite-sized pieces. Cut the puff pastry into even sizes to wrap around the hot dog pieces.
    3. Wrap each piece of hot dog with a piece of puff pastry, Doing it on an angle so some of the dog was shows gives it a bit of character.
    4. Place on a baking tray and cook for 10 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and turning brown.
    5. Cut the olive into eyes and the capsicum to create a tongue. Arrange on a serving platter in the shape of a serpent.
