Choc-a-bloc Brownies

    45 minutes

This recipe is really awesome because I completely made it up 100% and it came out SOOOO good. I fed it to my flatmates and took it to work and fed it to my workmates and they all absolutely loved it! When I told them that not only were they homemade but that the recipe was made up by me, they were shocked and said that they were delicious.

    Serves: 8

    • 200g butter
    • 200g dark choc melts
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
    • 2 cups self raising flour
    • 1/2 cup dark choc melts
    • 1/2 cup white chocolate pieces/baking melts
    • 1/2 cup dairy milk chocolate baking melts
    • 2 cups cornflakes
    • 1/4 cup (roughly, according to preferences) of hazelnuts/peanuts/pecans nuts, chopped or crushed

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Line with baking paper an oven tray.
    2. Melt butter, the 200g dark chocolate melts and sugar in a pan over low heat until melted and completely combined. Set aside to cool for ten minutes.
    3. Stir the beaten eggs into the chocolate mixture then all the other chocolates, the crushed/chopped nuts of choice and the cornflakes.
    4. Pat brownie mixture out into the prepared oven tray and put in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until mixture is firm to the touch.
    5. Allow the brownie to cool in the tray. Slice into individual pieces to serve.

The recipe for white chocolate and berries brownie is almost identical. Just replace the 200g of dark chocolate with white chocolate instead at the beginnin, then after mixing in the egg, simply mix in 1/2 a cup of white chocolate chunks, the cornflakes and either 1/4 - 1/2 a cup of diced strawberries, raspberries, or 1/4 of a cup of both of them!
