Chipotle Beef Burger

    Homemade Chipotle beef burger patties are partnered with cheese, lettuce and tomato to make this simple yet delicious hamburger.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g beef mince
    • 1 cup Tandaco seasoned stuffing mix
    • 1/4 cup chopped flat leaf parsley leaves
    • 1 brown onion, grated
    • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 egg, lightly whisked
    • 1/4 cup Fountain Chipotle sauce
    • Saxa salt and pepper to season
    • 4 hamburger buns split
    • 4 slices cheddar cheese (slices)
    • 2 vine ripe tomatoes, sliced
    • 100g mixed salad leaves

    1. Place beef, Tandaco stuffing mix, parsley, onion, garlic, egg and 2 tbs Fountain Chipotle sauce in a bowl. Season with Saxa salt and pepper. Use your hands to mix well until evenly combined.
    2. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions. Use your hands to shape each portion into a patty about 1.5cm thick.
    3. Place patties in a single layer on a baking tray, lined with baking paper. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
    4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Brush patties with oil, then cook for 8-10 minutes each side or until cooked through.
    5. Toast buns. Fill buns with cheese, tomato, lettuce and patties. Add extra Fountain Chipotle sauce.
