Sweet Chicken Drumstick Stew

A hearty meal for a cold winter's night, and with a splash of chilli it is perfect. It also contains, corn, carrot and capsicum.

Serves: 4 

  • 1 onion
  • 5 carrots diced
  • 1 large capsicum
  • 6 litre chicken stock
  • 1 tin corn
  • 6-8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 a cup sweet soy sauce

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:2hours20min  ›  Ready in:2hours35min 

  1. Dice the onion, carrot and capsicum then place them into a large saucepan full of chicken stock with the corn.
  2. Add chicken drumsticks to the stew, then add the sweet soy sauce.
  3. Let the stew simmer on a low heat for around 2 hours.
  4. Remove chicken meat from bones and discard bones. Serve with bread rolls.


Add more stock cubes to stew if flavour not strong enough.
