Apple Pudding with Brown Sauce

What better way to finish off a meal than with a nice warm pudding. This is an easy dessert to make and the sweet caramel type sauce over the pudding takes it to a whole new level.

Ingredients
Makes: 1 pudding
- Pudding
- 1 packet French vanilla cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 (440g) tin pie apples
- Sauce
- 60g butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup thickened cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla

- Pudding: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a 22x33cm oven proof dish.
- Mix the cake mix, eggs and apples together and pour into the prepared dish.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Sauce: Combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar and thickened cream in small saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until boiling. Simmer for 1 minute then remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and allow to stand for another minute then spoon over pudding.
