Like flapjacks? What about cake? This is a combination of the two that I created by accident. Looks and feels like cake but tastes like flapjack.
Made this as I love flapjack, but always make it a bit too chewy. This cake is so easy to make-basically the same as making flapjack with some additions. I did think the mixture was very wet, even before adding the milk and egg, but I trusted the recipe and did exactly as instructed. Very glad I did as this is a delicious cake-very wholesome and one of those that taste even nicer on day two, if there is any left! Mine was cooked after 45 mins, so sugggest you check as ovens do vary. Highly recommended though for simplicity to make, and for the flavour.
