Banana Flambe

    A dessert that I can set fire to. That is a recipe I am interested in making! Plus it means there is a whole bottle of rum left to drink :)

    Serves: 2 

    • 30g butter
    • 30g brown sugar
    • 2 bananas
    • 50ml orange juice
    • 25ml lemon juice
    • 25ml dark rum

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Melt the butter and sugar together until it starts to caramelize.
    2. Add the pealed and quartered bananas (one slice longways, one slice shortways).
    3. Add the orange juice, lemon juice and rum. When it heats it will be ready to flambe. Light and let the alcohol from the rum burn off.
