    This is my mother's chilli recipe that has always been my family's favourite! Perfect for dinner any night of the week.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 450g mince
    • 450g sausage, cut into 1cm pieces
    • 2 medium onions, diced
    • 3 tablespoons garlic, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons chili powder
    • 2 tablespoons paprika
    • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
    • 1 tablespoon cumin
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 2 (400g) tins crushed tomatoes with puree
    • 1 (400g) tin kidney beans
    • 1 (400g) tin barbecue baked beans

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:1hour15min  ›  Ready in:1hour25min 

    1. Cook mince and sausage in a saucepan.
    2. In a separate saucepan saute onions and garlic in olive oil. Stir in chilli powder, paprika, oregano, cumin and salt.
    3. Drain the grease from the meat the add to the saute onions.
    4. Add tomatoes, kidney beans and barbecue baked beans. Simmer for an hour or more.
