If you don't have enough fresh apples to make a crumble, add a tin of peaches to make this delightful dessert.

Serves: 6 

  • Fruit
  • 3 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 (400g) tin peaches
  • Topping
  • 100g butter
  • 200g plain flour
  • 1 dash mixed spice
  • 50g brown sugar

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:45min  ›  Ready in:55min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease an ovenproof dish with butter.
  2. Fruit: Put the apples and peaches in the ovenproof dish
  3. Topping: Put the butter, flour, cinnamon and sugar in a mixing bowl. Rub together until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
  4. Heap the crumble over the fruit.
  5. To Cook: Bake for 45 minutes or until the top of the crumble is golden and crisp.
