Easiest Lemon Doughnuts

    Yummy lemon-filled doughnuts. Serve warm. Honestly don't know what they taste like cold because they are gone almost before they hit the plate.

    Makes: 12 doughnuts

    • 1 1/2 cups self raising flour
    • 1 (150g) tub thick and creamy lemon cream flavoured yoghurt
    • oil, for frying
    • cinnamon sugar, as needed
    • lemon curd, as needed

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Mix the flour and yoghurt together until combined. Knead till smooth. Roll into 12 even-sized balls.
    2. Heat oil in frypan or deep fryer on a medium heat and cook doughnuts until nicely browned and cooked inside. If cooking too quickly, turn heat down.
    3. Remove from pan/fryer and roll in cinnamon sugar.
    4. Using a squirt bottle, fill doughnuts with lemon curd. Serve warm.


    This recipe is my adaptation from the 2 ingredient dough recipe which is self raising flour and Greek yoghurt. Same amounts as above.
