Basic Tomato Bruschetta

    Just lately I have noticed a lot of fancy bruschetta recipes but this is the traditional simple one I was taught when I was young.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 6 slices French bread, baguette
    • 2 cloves of garlic, halfed
    • 2 large tomatoes
    • handful of basil, sliced
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil, approximately
    • sea salt and cracked pepper, to taste

    Directions
    Preparation:6min  ›  Ready in:6min 

    1. Toast the bread slices then rub one side with a garlic half.
    2. Quarter the tomatoes, then remove the seeds and dice. Sprinkle onto the bread, then top with the sliced basil.
    3. Drizzle with olive oil then season with sea salt and cracked pepper as desired.
