Maybe the simplest and best way to eat garlic prawns that I know of - quickly stir fried in garlic infused oil and eaten dressed with a little lemon juice.

Serves: 1 

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 fresh red chilli, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200g unpeeled medium prawns
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/2 lemon

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Heat the oil in a large frypan. Add chilli and garlic and fry 2 minutes on low heat, without burning.
  2. Turn heat to high, add prawns and stir fry until just pink, about 2 minutes. Pour in the wine and simmer 1 minute.
  3. Transfer into a bowl and sprinkle with salt and squeeze over the lemon.
