    A deliciously tangy and spicy recipe for beef that just melts in the mouth. And just 164 calories per serve.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
    • 1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon raw sugar
    • 200g rump steak, thinly sliced
    • olive oil spray
    • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
    • 1 tablespoon lime juice
    • 1/2 lime, cut into 2 wedges

    1. Combine the pepper, soy sauce garlic, chilli and sugar and marinate the beef slices in this mixture for 30 minutes at room temperature, or overnight in the fridge.
    2. Spray a frying pan with olive oil and heat on medium to high. Add the beef and any remaining marinade and cook for 4 minutes, using tongs to turn to ensure that the meat is browned on both sides.
    3. Put the beef to one side and keep warm.
    4. Combine the fish sauce and lime juice and use to deglaze the pan. Pour over the beef.
    5. Serve with a lime wedge to be squeezed over the dish.

    I omitted the chillies and used lemonade fruit instead. Very easy recipe to make, my youngest son who doesn't like beef loved it and wanted more. I will be making this again! - 06 Jul 2015
