    No better way to start the day than with a lightly toasted slice of chocolate bread! It's a snap to make in the bread machine.

    Makes: 1 loaf

    • 150g chocolate chips (or diced cooking chocolate)
    • 60g butter
    • 20g sugar
    • 300ml milk
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    • 4 cups (500g) flour
    • 2 teaspoons dry yeast

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Ready in:3hours5min 

    1. Lightly grease the mixer of the bread machine. Put the chocolate in the freezer.
    2. Place all other ingredients in the bread machine in the order listed above.
    3. Select program for normal or brioche and choose the colour of the crust. At the beep, add the chocolate.

    Thank you for posting this recipe Aeroz. I've made it 3 times & it turns out beautifully every time. The only change I made is that I used 200g Choc chips. I put 60g in with all the ingredients at the start then put the rest in the automatic fruit & nut dispenser. The first 60g melts a bit through the dough & the fruit & nut dispenser puts the rest in half way through the kneading process so that the chocolate doesn't break down too much. It makes the bread extra chocolatey. This will be a regular on our household. - 09 Sep 2016
