Chocolate Christmas Tree Decorations

    If you want to give your Christmas cake or Yule log a special touch, here's an easy recipe for chocolate tree decorations. Careful, they are fragile!

    Ingredients
    Makes: 20 trees

    • 200g dark cooking chocolate, broken up

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Gently melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Once melted, remove from the water bath and let cool. It must be sufficiently liquid to still flow.
    2. Pour into a small plastic bag or a piping bag with a fine nozzle. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, draw trees with the chocolate. Refrigerate 1 hour minimum, or let stand overnight.
    3. When trees have hardened, gently peel off the paper. If you need to you can use a little melted chocolate to glue them to the cake.
