This is the quickest and easiest chocolate cake recipe that I know. I use tinned frosting but make your own if you prefer.


Makes: 1 cake

  • Cake
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Icing
  • 1 tin chocolate frosting
  • 150g chocolate sprinkles

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a cake tin and line with baking paper.
  2. Place all the cake ingredients in a blender or food processor. Beat until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into prepared cake tin and bake 30 minutes.
  4. Let cool a little, then remove the cake from the tin and coat with a layer of frosting and a layer of chocolate sprinkles.
