Chocolate Fondue for Parties

    This recipe serves a lot of people - of course you can always reduce the quantity of chocolate for smaller groups.

    Serves: 8 

    • 4 tablespoons icing sugar
    • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • pinch cinnamon
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
    • 1 kg chocolate
    • 2 bananas, sliced
    • 2 oranges, segmented
    • 2 pears, sliced
    • 250g pitted cherries

    1. In a bowl, sift together the icing sugar, cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla sugar.
    2. Melt the chocolate in a fondue pot or a saucepan over very low heat. Do not let the chocolate boil!
    3. To eat, skewer a piece of fruit on a fondue fork, turn in the sugar mixture and dip in the melted chocolate.
