Chocolate Banana Tarts

    This dessert is the perfect finish to a dinner party with guests. Chocolate and bananas are a great combination. Best served warm.

    Serves: 4 

    • 150g butter, melted
    • 150g sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 80g flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 100g dark chocolate, diced
    • 3 ripe bananas, sliced

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and butter 4 small tart molds.
    2. Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one by one, beating after each addition. Mix in the flour and baking powder.
    3. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or the microwave and stir into the batter.
    4. Distribute half the banana slices over the bottom of the molds, then pour the chocolate over. Top with remaining banana slices and bake 20 minutes.
