Rooster and Chick Easter Eggs

    Lovely table decorations for the Easter table, hard boiled eggs are formed into a hatching chick and proud dad.

    Serves: 1 

    • 2 hard boiled eggs
    • 1 piece carrot
    • 1 piece red capsicum
    • 4 black peppercorns

    Preparation:10min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. From the carrot, cut out two beaks. From the red capsicum cut a cock's comb.
    2. Cut a slice off the bottom of one of the eggs so it can sit upright. Make the rooster by pushing in two peppercorns for the eyes, the capsicum for the comb and one of the carrot beaks.
    3. Carefully slice through the white of the other egg in a zig-zag pattern to look like a cracked egg shell.
    4. Carefully remove the small half of the egg white and make the yolk into a chick with peppercorn eyes and carrot beak. Replace the top half like a hat.
