What to do with leftover ham? Make the old classic ham and pea soup! A little wine and cream add a delicious note.


Serves: 4 

  • 30g butter
  • 20g flour
  • 4 cups (1 litre) beef stock
  • 150g cooked ham, diced
  • 150g green peas
  • 3 tablespoons white wine
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • creme fraiche or sour cream, to serve

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Add the stock and bring to a simmer while whisking.
  2. Add the ham an dpeas and simmer 10 minutes. Add wine and salt and pepper to taste. Serve, garnished with a dollop of creme fraiche.
