Very tasty bright porridge with pumpkin puree, apple and cinnamon, if desired you can add a handful of sultanas. Incredibly healthy breakfast for the whole family.


Serves: 4 

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 tablespoons rolled oats
  • pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • pinch cinnamon
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. In a saucepan add the water and milk, bring to a boil. Add the oats and salt then stir and cook for about 10-15 minutes on low heat until thick.
  2. Then add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon and peeled and grated apple. Mix well, boil for a few minutes. Cover and let stand for about 5 minutes.
  3. Season to taste with the sugar.
