    These delicious macaroons have only three ingredients and are dairy and gluten free. Watch them being made in the Allrecipes Coconut Macaroons video.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 45 macaroons

    • 4 egg whites
    • 200g caster sugar
    • 200g desiccated coconut

    Directions
    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees C and line two baking trays with baking paper.
    2. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks, then gradually add the sugar while beating. Fold in the coconut.
    3. Drop teaspoons of the macaroon mixture onto the baking trays, spacing them slightly apart so they can spread.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool slightly on the trays, then carefully remove to wire racks while still warm. Be careful, they are delicate! Store in an airtight container.
