Chunky Strawberry Ice Cream, Homemade by Shazzie

    I'm totally into making ice cream at the moment. No churn needed. Just beat up the ingredients and freeze. My own recipe, pictured with my awesome banana icecream.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 punnets strawberries
    • 2 x 600ml bottles thickened cream
    • 2 cans condensed milk
    • 3 tablespoons strawberry essence
    • 1 teaspoon pink food colouring

    Preparation:10min  ›  Extra time:12hours freezing  ›  Ready in:12hours10min 

    1. You will need a 3 litre freezer container.
    2. Roughly chop strawberries. Using an electric mixer and a large bowl, beat cream and condensed milk together until starting to thicken, about 5 minutes.
    3. Add essence and colouring and beat a couple more minutes. Stir in strawberries.
    4. Pour into container. Freeze overnight or until set.
    5. Serve as a banana split with my awesome banana ice cream as well.
