Air Fried Crumbed Fish

    Crumbed fish is one of my favourite fried items and this air fried version of the recipe gives me great flavour without the fat.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 100g breadcrumbs
    • 1 egg, whisked
    • 4 fish fillets
    • 1 lemon, to serve

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:12min  ›  Ready in:22min 

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 180 degrees C.
    2. Mix the oil and the breadcrumbs together. Keep stirring until the mixture becomes loose and crumbly.
    3. Dip the fish fillets into the egg then shake of any residual. Dip the fish fillets into the crumb mix making sure it is evenly and fully covered.
    4. Gently lay in the air fryer then cook for 12 minutes. (Time may vary depending on the thickness of the fish).
    5. Serve immediately with lemon.

    Great fried fish with out the calories. Will be the way i do my fish from now on. Used cornflake crumbs instead of breadcrumbs. used walleye  -  01 Dec 2016

    The basic idea is fine and I used the recipe as a cooking guide, but 4 T of oil is completely unnecessary. It triples the fat content. Just pat dry, season, dip in the egg, and roll in your crumbs. I spray the bottom of the pan with olive oil spray to keep it from sticking, but no other added oil.  -  21 Apr 2017
