Homemade beef stock is a great addition to all homemade soups or you can serve it with the meat in it for a broth.


Serves: 5 

  • 1 potato, peeled
  • 1 whole carrot
  • 1 white onion, peeled
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 kg stew beef
  • salt, to taste

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Ready in:3hours5min 

  1. Bring a medium stockpot full of water to the boil. Add the vegetables whole, and the parsley. Add the meat and some salt to taste.
  2. Simmer 3 hours. Remove the meat and set aside. Strain the stock and discard the vegetables. You can keep as a stock or shred the meat and return it to the pot for a nourishing broth.
